DVFilm Epic I Tutorial

Quick Start – 1/4 size Proxy editing (Vegas 9/32bit only) (OS can be 32 or 64bit)
-Close Vegas if it’s running. Once DVFilm Epic I is installed (after Vegas has been installed), open the Epic I control panel by the start menu or tray icon.
-Select ‘Low Quality.’
-Select ‘1/4 size.’
-Select ‘Use Proxies in plugin,’ ‘High Priority Proxy Creation,’ and ‘Mark Proxy Frames.’ Leave Output folder blank. Proxies will be made to ‘Proxy’ folder into source folder.
-Select ‘Enable Epic I plugin’ and click Update then click Yes on the prompt that appears. Vegas must be closed for this to work.
-Open Vegas 9 Pro and drag h.264 Quicktimes to the timeline or open in trimmer for Epic I to start generating proxies. You can edit like normal while proxies are being made.
