Compression Rules:

If the input is DV-NTSC compression format, Atlantis will select DV-PAL compression format by default, and vice-versa.

If the input is DVCPROHD 720p60 compression format, Atlantis will select DVCPROHD 720p50 compression format by default, and vice-versa.

If the input is DVCPROHD 1080i50 or 1080p25 compression format, Atlantis will select DVCPROHD 1080i60
or 1080p30 compresssion format by default, and vice-versa.

For other compression formats, (for example H.264, HDV, AIC, MJPEG) Atlantis will attempt to use the same compression format by default.

Final Cut Pro 5 or later must be installed to access Apple DVCPROHD codecs.

For MPEG-2 or VOB files, use MPEG Streamclip by Squared5 to convert to Quicktime before processing with Atlantis.

Widescreen Rule:

Unless letterbox option is selected, Atlantis will preserve widescreen flags for PAL/NTSC quicktimes.

SD to HD and HD to SD conversions

Atlantis can convert 25P or 24P output to a different frame size or compression format by using the "User Selects Compression" in Advanced Options.
Frame size conversion cannot be used with 60i output
