Notes

1. Resize feature works only with either progressive source or after removing pulldown from interlaced formats.

2. Non-recompressed image rotate is available for 720-line formats only. 1080-line formats are rotated with image recompression, but optional grain reduction feature can be used to eliminate added noise in this case.

3. Grain reduction employs 2 methods together: 1) intelligent temporal smoothing (averages across successive frames where no motion is present, and 2) spatial smoothing where no image detail is present, in other words away from object edges to preserve image sharpness. Grain reduction feature works only with either progressive source or after removing pulldown from interlaced formats.

4. MXFX 2 cannot presently compress to AVC-Intra format. Add or remove pulldown from 60P, 1080/24PA, or 50P files can be accomplished without recompression to AVC-Intra format, but for removing pulldown from 1080/24P (3:2 pulldown) AVC-Intra files, MXFX 2 will by default convert to DVCPROHD format.

5. To properly remove pulldown, the MXF file must have the correct pulldown flags supplied by the camera. The flags are normally present when the camera's UB Mode is set to "FrameRate" (this is the default UB mode). If you should get a warning from MXFX 2 that the flags are not present, contact DVFilm support for workaround software on removing pulldown from unflagged MXF files.
